Vibe Hardware: A Hands-On Open Lab with Tiles

Presenter: Jonathan Fiene
Date: 2026/07/28

Overview

Jonathan Fiene presents Tiles by Bergsonne Labs, a 4x4 mm bulding blocks for embedded programming.

The tiles consist of multiple tiles, controllers, sensors and output.

For example: RGB output, time of flight sensor, 6 & 9 DOF sensors and many more. A full catalog can be viewed on their site, though it might require creating an account.

On the website there is a AI enabled IDE, which is able to help you create a complete solution from a prompt. There is also a block like editor and a standard coding view.

Programming is via webserial, there is also a offline SDK available.

Very sleek packaging, size makes it so that it's quite possible to embed in final products.

Notes

The Tiles are expected in Digikey inventory, available for order, in about six weeks.

Fab Labs are encouraged to be in direct contact with Bergsonne.

Programming via browser is done with webserial, which failed in my case. Most likely cause is a sandboxing issue of the browser, time did not allow for debugging. (HP laptop, Ubuntu 26.04, tested with Chrome and Chromium).
