Overview¶
Many students learn to design and build but receive little formal instruction on how to document their engineering process. This session presents an approach used with grades 9–11 students in the Charlotte Latin Fab Lab that builds documentation skills alongside fabrication work. Through structured digital portfolios and assessment rubrics, students capture design decisions, iterations, and fabrication details, developing communication habits that prepare them for university labs and industry.
